Fygr is now Okimia: Get all the details on our name change

Same team. Same obsession. An ambition that has grown.

Today, Fygr becomes Okimia. This isn't just a fresh coat of paint: it's the name that now reflects what the product has become. We no longer simply help you to understand your treasury — we give you the single point from which you manage it and take action. Manage, pay, invest: three actions, one platform.

Why now

We no longer just look at treasury, we put it into action

Fygr was born from a simple observation: for SMEs, treasury had abundant data but lacked clarity. Our first mission was to transform this noise into a clear, reliable, immediately actionable vision.

We still uphold this mission. But through interactions with leaders, and increasingly with finance departments, a recurring frustration emerged: seeing isn't doing. Understanding your treasury position is useful. But between understanding and acting, there's often another tool, another login, another validation, another delay.

We decided to close this gap.

Okimia is no longer just treasury tracking and forecasting software. It is now a complete treasury management and optimization platform:

  • Manage : your treasury remains clear, consolidated, and manageable, just as you know it.
  • Pay : execute your payments from the same place where you manage them. No more disconnect between decision and action.
  • Invest : put your excess cash to work without leaving the platform, when the data tells you it's the right time.

This isn't a pivot. It's a logical extension of what Fygr has always done.

From day one, our mission has been to provide executives and finance departments with a reliable view of their cash flow: aggregating banking and accounting data, consolidating it, making it readable, and projecting it over time. We built this data infrastructure — and we still maintain it.

But this infrastructure had a natural limit: it stopped where the action began. The dashboard told you what to do. The execution, however, happened elsewhere — in another tool, with another contact, often with a delay between the decision and the action.

What we realized is that cash flow data and cash flow action cannot live separately — not if you truly want to serve those who manage a company's money. A payment isn't an accounting operation: it's a cash flow decision. Investing surplus funds isn't a financial product: it's the direct consequence of a forecast indicating stable liquidity for the coming weeks. Both actions are driven by the same data. Separating them creates friction, risk, and loss of value.

At Okimia, we therefore decided to take this reasoning to its logical conclusion: if you trust us to understand your cash flow, we must also be the place from which you act upon it. Not because we wanted to grow for growth's sake — but because service consistency demanded it.

Pay from the same screen where you saw the invoice was due. Invest from the same screen where you saw the balance was comfortable. Manage with a view that already integrates what has been paid and what has been invested. That's the promise of Okimia: a complete cycle, without interruption.

This is a change in nature, not just an addition of features. We are moving from reading to acting on circulating funds. It's a different responsibility, and a clear ambition: to become the central point from which cash flow becomes not only readable, but directly actionable.

Why Okimia

沖 — oki, the open sea. In Japanese, oki refers to the open sea, the horizon, the vast expanse before you. It's the vantage point from which one takes in the whole, where the gaze extends far. For a financial department, this is exactly the stance we want to offer: a broad perspective, the ability to anticipate.

-imia, the domain one masters. The name's ending echoes economia and alchimia — words that don't denote an object, but an art, a system one learns to govern. Okimia is not just another tool: it's the domain from which all your treasury is managed.

okimi(大君), the sovereign. Finally, the name encapsulates the idea of authority, of mastery — the one who decides and commands. Not for power, but for control: to regain control over your treasury rather than being subjected to it.

From this convergence, a simple definition emerges:

Okimia: the vantage point from which one commands the horizon — and from which one acts.

The open sea for vision. The domain one masters, to govern it. Sovereignty for decision-making. Three roots for the same promise: to see far, to hold everything in hand, to act. The name conveys what the product does, without needing explanation.

What doesn't change

The name changes, our ambition grows — but the core remains.

It's the same team, the same close relationship with finance departments, the same approach to building: observing your usage, listening to your feedback, simplifying. It's the same product, now more comprehensive, where you'll find everything you already did. And it's the same commitment to clarity and reliability.

Fygr helped you see clearly. Okimia now helps you act.

The open sea before you, your hand on the helm.
