Garantme grows from €2M to €10M while keeping its cash flow under control thanks to Okimia

Garantme multiplied its revenue fivefold in 3 years. With Okimia, the CEO steers its cash flow in real time and keeps its teams focused on growth, not on Excel.

An insurance broker in strong growth

Garantme supports real estate professionals in developing their rental and property management businesses. In 2020, the company had around forty employees and €2 million in revenue. Three years later, it employs 120 people and generates €10 million in revenue.

This rapid growth was accompanied by the gradual structuring of the finance team: first Thomas alone steering the cash flow, then the arrival of a head of administration and finance, followed by a CFO and an accountant. Today, a team of 4 people manages the company's finances, and Okimia has become their day-to-day working tool.

Excel: time-consuming and a source of confusion

Before Okimia, Garantme managed its cash flow like many SMEs: on Excel. An approach that quickly proved limiting.

"I remember it was quite time-consuming, it took us a lot of time, and it also required the teams to be trained and fairly skilled with a tool like Excel, which is complex when you get down to it," explains Thomas Reynaud.

The problem wasn't limited to wasted time. The very nature of Garantme's business generated a complexity that was hard to model: the company collects a lot of money on behalf of third parties, insurance companies. Thomas didn't understand its working capital effects and never really knew who the collected funds belonged to.

This lack of visibility made forecasting risky and complicated decision-making, particularly in a context of strong growth where every strategic choice (hiring, loans, fundraising) directly impacts year-end cash flow.

A cash flow expert tool that supports growth

In 2020, Thomas Reynaud compared several solutions on the market and quickly noticed that many tools tackled only the accounting issue, completely neglecting cash flow management.

Okimia stood out for its specific expertise in cash flow management: forecasting capabilities, a fine understanding of working capital phenomena, and scenario-modeling features.

Three features particularly won Thomas over:

  1. Google Sheet integration to give teams autonomy
This feature made it possible to give many people at Garantme access to bank data filtered according to the desired level of rights. The operations teams, which need to be notified of certain bank flows in near real time, no longer depend on the accounting team. They access the information they need directly, with the appropriate filters.
  2. Cash flow scenarios to steer with confidence
Taking out a loan, hiring, raising funds: all these strategic events need to be modeled. With Okimia, Thomas can update his scenarios as things shift and understand how year-end cash flow is going to behave. "The feature I use the most as a manager is the scenarios I can project in cash flow."
  3. A visual layer that makes collaboration easier
Beyond the technical power, Okimia brings a visual clarity that changes everything. Even with a well-developed financial culture, Garantme's investors appreciate being able to track the evolution of cash flow on a clear dashboard, which greatly facilitates collaboration.

The results are concrete. Thomas has gained visibility into his working capital needs and now understands the gaps between his revenue and his cash flow — a crucial distinction for steering effectively.

Structure, fluidity, and autonomy

Okimia has become much more than a simple cash flow tracking tool for Garantme. It's a vehicle for structuring teams and empowering them.

When the head of administration and finance, the CFO, and the accountant joined the company, Okimia served as an onboarding tool to help them understand the business and cash flow phenomena. Today, they are the ones who use it daily, allowing Thomas to focus on other strategic priorities.

Support also played a key role, with remarkable responsiveness during the rare requests, particularly for bank integration issues that were resolved ultra-quickly.

For Thomas, the choice is clear: he recommends Okimia to any company facing working capital challenges, particularly when payment gaps create complexity in reading cash flow.

"Okimia in a few words: it's a lot of autonomy for the teams, it's fluidity in our operations, and also structure in understanding our financial flows."

A transformation that allowed Garantme to focus on what matters most: its growth.
